Reflections on Physics and Faith

The laws that govern the universe are not merely mechanical principles; they are reflections of divine consistency. Physics and faith, though written in different languages, describe the handiwork of the same Author. The symmetry between them is not coincidence but revelation — the visible echo of invisible truth.

We, the created beings who ponder these laws, are uniquely placed between two worlds that coexist within us. One is the physical realm of sensation — the world we perceive through sight, sound, and touch. The other is the spiritual realm — unseen yet deeply real, where love, conscience, and divine presence dwell.

These worlds are not separate dimensions but overlapping realities. The physical expresses the spiritual in tangible form, and the spiritual gives meaning to the physical. To understand either fully, one must acknowledge the parallelism of both.

For example, in the physical realm the law of conservation of energy teaches that energy can neither be created nor destroyed, only transformed. In the spiritual realm, the same principle applies: the essence of the human spirit is not lost but changed. Death, seen through that lens, is not annihilation but transformation — the migration of life from temporal to eternal form. Just as light becomes matter and matter returns to light, so too does the soul continue beyond the limits of decay. God’s creation wastes nothing, whether in a dying star or a redeemed life.

Likewise, the mystery of quantum entanglement offers a striking parallel to the mystery of prayer. In physics, two particles once connected remain correlated beyond space and time; what affects one is mirrored in the other instantly, even across galaxies. Prayer reveals the same divine pattern. Through it, spirit touches Spirit — the finite entangled with the Infinite. What is whispered in faith on earth resonates in the heart of God.

Such parallels remind us that science and faith are not adversaries but mirrors — each illuminating the other. The laws of physics govern the visible universe; the laws of spirit govern the unseen. Together they form one seamless reality, two languages telling the same story: that creation flows from a single Source of order, purpose, and light.
