Here’s why …
Hi, my name is Dan Bruce. In 2007, I founded The Prophecy Society as a personal teaching and research ministry dedicated to careful, Bible-centered exposition. Today, these Bible resources are being read by students, pastors, and everyday believers in more than 184 countries around the world.
As for me personally, since being saved in 1950, I have devoted my life to the careful and prayerful study of the Bible, with a special focus in recent years on prophecy and Bible chronology—especially those prophecies found in the Book of Daniel. Out of that study came my groundbreaking commentary, Daniel Unsealed in 2012, followed by the dozens of Bible commentaries and articles that I have published here.
It is my belief that the Holy Spirit freely gives insights to those who seek to understand the teachings of the Bible. I am but one among many, many expositors that He uses, with a commission to share the knowledge that is given with the world. Since the Holy Spirit freely gives understanding to share, I feel it only right to make those insights available to the world equally free of charge, so that anyone who wants to study Scripture using them can do so without encountering a financial barrier. Since its founding, this teaching ministry has been supported from my personal income, which in recent years has been limited to modest monthly Social Security payments. I have no institutional backing, no paid staff, and no fundraising organization—just a website, a body of published Bible research, and a calling to make God’s Word clearer and more accessible for both believers and unbelievers.
Over the past two years, basic ministry expenses—such as replacing aging computer equipment, leasing essential book-writing software (Adobe Creative Cloud alone is $104/month), website hosting (about $100/month and can be more depending on bandwidth used by books being downloaded), and mailing free books and other teaching aids to pastors and teachers (averaging $23 per recipient)—have begun to exceed my personal financial resources. That is why I am asking for help now.
Donations are used only for essential ministry needs as described above, not for salaries or anything not directly tied to ministry outreach. Every contribution helps keep my Bible resources freely available to those who are seeking truth and understanding from God’s Word, many of whom are in parts of the world where personal resources are limited.
My prayer is that God will provide the financial resources urgently needed to continue this Bible research and outreach ministry as it serves a worldwide audience.
